RACING WILL NEVER BE SAFE

People often ask will racing ever be safe ? RACING WILL NEVER BE SAFE because of the very premise its built on.

On the professional level they’re competing to win by whatever means the competitor can without getting caught breaking the rules or misinterpreting the rules.

In the early days drivers or competitors lives were cheap. No law suits or for that matter only a few good lawyers unlike now with all these over weighted litigious ‘bloviating’ attorneys’ on every corner using TV as they’re personal barker.

Now I’m not saying racing shouldn’t be safe. Its just that society has over reacted to the recent deaths of some notable and well like drivers in auto racing.

None of us want to see such disasters as we have seen with the Earnhardt’s or more recently Jason Lefty Leffler.

The fact remains more people die driving to the store than in all of racing or competitive sports.

Safety should always be a concern as it will eventually make it to the consumer if the device is worthy from ‘testing’ in racing.

An old Russian saying goes like this, ‘If there is no risk, there is no champagne’.

That’s why they compete. They compete for the thrill of victory and all that it meant for them to have attained it.

So the next time you see one of these horrific accidents and there will be more terrible accidents with out comes none of us want, understand they’re competing willingly and pursuing what they love.

So sit back and see for yourself the price that’s paid for competing in this unforgiving arena.
